My Therapeutic Approach
Molly Seifert is a counseling intern currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling at Northeastern Illinois University. She brings more than eight years of experience in healthcare and wellness, along with a deep appreciation for the power of human connection in the healing process.
Before entering the counseling field, Molly worked as an athletic trainer supporting high school, collegiate, and workplace populations. In those roles, she quickly learned that caring for someone’s physical injury often opened the door to conversations about life stressors, relationships, and personal challenges. Those experiences sparked her interest in the deeper emotional and relational work that therapy provides.
Molly later founded her own wellness coaching practice, where she worked with individuals on body image, intuitive eating, and self-confidence. Through this work, she saw how many struggles with food, self-worth, and behavior patterns are connected to past experiences, relationships, and unresolved emotional pain. This realization ultimately led her to pursue formal training as a therapist.
She approaches therapy with curiosity, compassion, and a belief that meaningful change happens within a supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship.

Outside of the therapy room, Molly is a proud fur mom to three adorable pups. When she isn't spending time with her dogs, she’s likely in the kitchen—she’s an avid baker and makes a mean loaf of sourdough.
